Attention to Safety
At Primus Staffing Solutions, safety truly comes first. Safety from occupational hazards, firearms, illegal drugs, hazardous materials, accidents and injuries of any kind are just one half of it. We equally respect and value the safety of information, such as personal data, health records, trade secrets, proprietary documents, passwords, and any other sensitive information.

Along those lines, we support workplaces free of hazards, firearms, drugs, violence and harassment. We screen our employees carefully and we test them for the 5 main categories of illegal drugs. We instruct them on procedures to properly safeguard information. Our own office is entirely paperless and all sensitive data is stored in a secure server. We prove every day that openness doesn’t need to compromise security.

Reliability and Timeliness
We enforce timely and reliable attendance. Although we do have employees who can fill in for others who fail to report for their assignments on time, we understand the disruption that causes to our clients’ business and the lives of our employees. Therefore, we have zero tolerance for tardiness and no-show, unless special circumstances prevail. We investigate all incidents of tardiness and the employees involved are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Professionalism
Professionalism is what really drives business. It combines ethics, industrial efficiency, people skills, knowledge, intuition, and one’s own ambition to create a truly valuable employee. Professionalism has many faces, from treating others with respect, to reliable attendance, to being a team player and doing one’s own work with the highest standards of quality. It also includes acknowledging errors and one’s own limitations and getting one’s feelings out of the way of doing business. If there was a unique criterion of professional behavior, it would be how much others, including supervisors, clients and colleagues, want to continue to work with a certain individual.

Efficiency
Efficiency is the core of competitiveness, and the lifeblood of any growing business. In short, it is a set of rules and techniques for getting more output while using less of one’s resources. Often times, it comes down to what they used to say, “Use it up, wear it out, make do, or do without.” Other times it means implementing a new technology or finding a simpler way to do standard tasks. At Primus, we believe that people do make a difference, that things can always be done more efficiently, and our employees learn how to utilize time, technology and supplies to maximize output.

Teamwork
Due to the nature of our work, our employees have to adapt quickly to different working environments. They need to learn the people, what each of them does, the type of work and the hierarchical structure of each workplace within only a day or two in most cases. Teamwork, or being efficient when working with others, sometimes is as simple as doing one’s work by a certain deadline; other times it requires two people sitting side by side to work on a project together, in real time.

Teamwork involves time management, people skills and excellent communication. This takes a special type of person as well as some training.

We hire the right people and we instill them with the right attitude for working with others. We tell them what others expect from a team member and how to achieve that standard. We show them how we work together in our own office and we explain to them that the best teams are composed of people of different, complementary skill sets, so they don’t get surprised if others don’t know all that they do. Then, we make sure they blend in quickly at their workplaces.

Flexibility
Flexibility is the glue that binds together any workplace. As companies take advantage of innovations such as just-in-time delivery, telecommuting, web-based software, and more, employees can do more with less effort from any location. That offers freedom and opportunity. On the flip side, to stay competitive, employees and employers need to have access to resources, including their coworkers, whenever they need them. Operations that don’t take a break, flexible shifts, on-call and per diem are spreading practices across all industries. Our employees know that they need to be flexible the moment they sign up with us. Because we are flexible, they have to be too.
